In celebration of memorial weekend me and my family took a little spontaneous trip to the mountains. The ride up was absolutely stunning. We took the long route just so we could enjoy the ride a little bit more. We spent the weekend hiking, which is definitely a favorite of my families. We have this tendency to find random trails, hike them, and realize we're lost hours later. Of course, this happened once again. After hiking for a couple hours one of the days, we realized we had no idea where we were. It's all okay though because we made it back, and I had my camera to keep me company while trying to find our way back.
The next day we took a drive up to Bryce Canyon. On our way there though, my dad got distracted with a little canyon right outside of Bryce. Red Canyon. It was just as pretty; covered with twisted trees, and tall red rocks. DEFINITELY A PLACE EVERYONE MUST CHECK OUT.
(a bonus to Red Canyon is it's very similar to Bryce, but there is a couple hundred less people there.)
I have this weird thing where I have a playlist for EVERYTHING. One of my favorites definitely has to be my playlist for the mountains.. so I was just going to share a few of my favorite artists/bands that i'm obsessed with (i'm always obsessed with them but definitely hits the spot in nature)
- Bon Iver
- The Head and the Heart
- Local Natives
- Of Monsters and Men
....... or singing your favorite campfire songs work too !!
