one year down, one to go

GUYS ITS BEEN ONE YEAR SINCE GREYSON LEFT
here are some pictures from his first year in the mission. there's obviously a ton more, but here are a few of my favorites.

Russel M. Nelson and his wife

last week my best friend hit his one year mark. he has now been in argentina longer than a year. wow, time has flown by... but has gone super slow too. weird how that can happen. he's had so much success this past year, it's seriously so amazing. he loves what he is doing out there and does it everyday with that little smile on his face;)

it's been so fun to see how his testimony has grown over the past year. he has grown so much.  even though he still loves to make his companions 'salty' (some things never change). he loves to find adventure out there in argentina. always taking advantage of any opportunity to teach the gospel. even while he's getting robbed, he still manages to share the gospel to the man with the knife. he tells me he loves to get robbed, that it's "exciting". PLEASE JUST REMEMBER TO KEEP HIM IN YOUR PRAYERS.

he loves argentina, he loves the food, he loves the people, and he loves this gospel. he has one of the strongest testimonies i know. his weekly scriptures and reminders have helped me grow my testimony and push through my trials. even thousands of miles away he still can make my day.

greyson has had so many baptisms this last year and has many more coming up!

let's hope this next year goes by quick!

btw missionaries always love emails so feel free to email him!

summer trips

Summer as usual is flying by way too quickly. I swear school moves along so slowly while summer is  just the opposite. It's not fair. As my mother quite often likes to remind me "life isn't fair". So I guess I better suck it up and enjoy it while it lasts.

At first summer wasn't reaching my expectations because adult like priorities were getting in the way. If I am being honest, I'm having a really hard time with this "growing up" thing. The first of the summer was spent working all afternoon, to studying the rest of the day. The closest thing I had to sleeping in was 6am. Which WAS NOT cutting it.

Luckily, I found a job I really enjoy now, which includes; helping people with fashion, reading, and getting great discounts on cute stuff. My personal favorite is helping the old ladies. The other day I met the FUNNIEST lady who practically told me her whole life story in the two hours I was helping her find a dress. She told me her love story, about her husbands death, and eventually told me everything that led up to why she was here. Which was that she wanted to look DANG SEXY FOR HER GRANDSONS BAPTISM (her words not mine). I have a whole lot of respect for that women.

This past week me and my friends went out to Sand Hollow to do the whole classic cliff jumpin' thing. it was going to be a pretty simple day, but it turned out to be an adventure. It had it's ups and downs, having way more ups than downs but still. I can't get over the fact that my tevas got stolen (or lost). I have been through so much with them, and they will definitely be missed. I hope whoever found them is enjoying themselves. Because, I am currently saving up every cent so someday I can have some again (if anyone wants to donate to the cause it'd be much appreciated). Besides that little mishap, it was a fab-u-lous day.

Now you know the drill, here are the pictures.

downtown shoot w/ cam

Lately, I have been taking more pictures of people than ever before. I obviously love taking pictures, but they're usually just of nature or random folks on the streets. My new favorite thing is definitely taking pictures of people. It's a whole new experience. I love it.

My pretty friend Cam let me take her pictures. She made my job SUPER easy. We drove around downtown finding colored walls to take them by. Because, I AM OBSESSED WITH COLORED WALLS!!
