Aloha Oahu

Aloha everyone!

So I just got back from the best trip of my life probably. HAWAII. It was literally the perfect trip, besides the fact I left a few years too early. I wish I could say I am happy to be home, but I am not. I am having MAJOR withdrawals.

For this trip I think I am going to just dump the hundreds of pictures I took and stick to commentary (or this post would take ages to read). If anyone opposes, I will be happy to write them the novel of the trip and send it to them personally. From yours truly:)

Okay. Lets get started

So we left on a Saturday morning and there is only one word to describe the trip there

CRAZY (freaking) INTENSE

At the airport we ran into a little mishap when my mother tried to sneak bullets on the airplane. My mom is actually very against guns, which made it even funnier that they happened to be in the backpack she grabbed. Of course it was very scary in the moment but everything was fine. We only almost missed our flight, got escorted by cops, and almost got sent to security. Just a normal day at the airport.

REMINDER: DO NOT BRING BULLETS ON A PLANE GUYSS

We got to the beach just in time to take a walk during the sunset. MAJOR HEART EYES! AM I RIGHT

found out later that we were in a state park.. probably should not have ripped this leaf from the tree. whoops.

Even though this isn't his real smile I got one out of him, so I am still pretty happy about it

Always am getting this sign mixed up with "hang loose" cmon lexie
definitely not the most coordinated family ever

 "everyone laugh at dad" ;)

Our first day there was spent exploring the island and Waimea falls. Also it was my brothers nineteenth birthday, so old oh my gosh. Also am very jealous his birthday is always during cool trips like these.

Alecs birthday dinner and exploring the surf town. BANZAI LITERALLY HAD THE BEST SUSHI. Missing that Philadelphia rolls more and more everyday

The next day was spent at the Polynesian Cultural Center or for short the PCC. The day was spent learning about all the different cultures, watching a lot of booty shaking, and drinking/eating coconut after coconut. It was really so cool definitely recommend it (although my dad may disagree).

BTW did you know "talofa" means hello in Samoan?

A quick trip to the La'ie Hawaii LDS temple

My favorite memorial I finally got to see in person! It was so incredible but heartbreaking.
The picture above is a picture of the water. Oil still leaks from it everyday, the smell lingers still after 75 years.

Our last day there had to be THE BEST DAY! I fulfilled my life long dream of swimming with sharks. There were dozens of them surrounding me at once. Can't even begin to explain how awesome it was hah. We also went kayaking and toured the surfing sensation of the world. PRETTY NEAT STUFF EM I RIGHT?

This trip was so amazing. I did not even begin to scratch the surface of this trip but it was long enough without it. The food was amazing, the land is amazing, the people and culture are amazing. I was awe struck the whole time. Hawaii get ready because I am coming for you in a year. Lets hope my lifelong dream of going to BYU Hawaii becomes reality.

HAWAII YOU ARE A DREAM!
