Not to be dramatic or anything, but I would die for you, spring.

Spring is my time of year. It is where I shine. My powers get stronger, in a sense. The smells, the sounds, our world around us truly changes. And with the warmer weather brings less layers, soccer guys, and an everyday ice water from Maverick.

If you know anything about me, it is that I hate being cold. When the weather finally begins to become warmer again I feel like a new me. I become more determined to put away Netflix and go on a run because summer is nearing.

I started writing this post before St. George received its rare snow fall, but it once again is feeling like spring and I just cannot wait anymore. I want spring to be here, so maybe if I think it, it will happen. I mean, mind over matter right? So here is the start to the spring season ...

MY SPRING PLAYLIST!

Many of these songs are ones I have listened to for years, but some I recently found. I am a true believer of music and believe there is a style for every different mood. music can bring girls together and make everlasting memories. music can help any day better, or it can help drown us in our sorrows. it is another dance post. 

sorry if i got your hopes up or got you overly excited for nothing, believe me i understand the feeling. the other day i found front row parking at the gym and when i went to pull in, a motorcycle was parked comfortably in the space. life is full of disappointments. JKJK I SURE HOPE IT IS NOT! anddd this is not going to be one of them. it may be another dance post with fancy pictures, but my friends are hot, my braid looks cool, my friends once again jammed our hearts out, but surprisingly we followed a slow dance with tears and hugs.. WHY? because this was our last official school dance !! how did we get so old? my mind is still blown from this ordeal. on our last slow dance, every single one of our senior friends held hands and screamed to 'Rewrite the Stars,' and it was one of the happiest, but saddest moments of my high school career. 

but before i get to emotional on you guys, i am gonna show off my friends

Soooo funny story... guys have the hardest time planning I swear (it always works out tho, no worries) but, someone told the whole group the wrong place to go for pictures and when we got there the photographer was nowhere to be found. Thirty minutes later we finally found her at a completely different spot and it was getting super dark, but she did pretty dang good for the light we had. PROPS TO HER !!

I LOVE THESE GIRLS MORE THAN LIFE!! We cannot take a functional picture to save our lives, but they are too photogenic to ever look bad..

PROM LOOK FOR THE NIGHT !!! My lovely friend Jill Lyman ONCE AGAIN did wonderfulll.. she literally did this in five minutes, now that is skill.

i am a senior

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lexie. She was a sophomore who loved school, who enjoyed her difficult classes, who strived to never be late to class, who would walk to lunch with all of her best friends because they could not drive, who showed up fashionably late to all of the games, who thought she was so cool because she was a high schooler now, and who thought high school would never end.

 Now life has suddenly flown by, and she is a SENIOR. She hardly shows up to class, and when she does she is a half an hour late, she now takes college classes and laughs when she thought her other classes were hard, she now drives to lunch jamming to music with her best friends going to durangos, she shows up hours early to every game to earn the front row seats of the student sections, and she is now counting down the days until she graduates and is now realizing she only has three months left and the days are moving faster than she can count. 

 If you have not realized yet, THIS GIRL IS ME. I am a senior, and I graduate in 100 days. I have been preparing for this day practically my entire life and the day is approaching quickly. Some days I am so ecstatic to move on with my life and to be done, but I am going to miss a few aspects of school. I am going to miss the student section and cheering for my friends. I am going to miss being with my friends 24/7, I am going to miss our daily lunch dates and being in one place with all of my friends. Now I have to grow up and decide what I am going to do with my life. I cannot even choose where to eat for lunch let alone determining my future. How stressful is that?

 Anyway, with graduation coming soon, my senior pictures have been taken so that I can start my graduation announcements. I would have never been able to share even half of the images since my fantastic photographer @Haileyburningham is so talented at her job, so I have decided to share them on here! I have never really liked pictures of myself, but these were the only exception.

FOREWARNING: if you have any major life changes coming up, DO NOT listen to "Rivers and Roads" by The Head and the Heart. It is actually a great song, but it is so sad and it will make you realize everything is going to change and it is overall so depressing.
