sophomore year

  Summer has come and gone again. I have never been more disappointed in it ending! It seriously lasted like 10 seconds.. not even kidding. By the time school gets here in so ready for it to start, and am actually excited. Not so much this year. I was dreading it so much, I can't even explain it. Wish summer could last forever (I'm sure everyone feels that way tho) haha! Summer ended in a bang. The last day was so fun and exhilarating it was pretty great;)

Even tho I hate school, the first day wasn't to bad. I liked seeing all my friends again. I love them. Hate school. Its a win/lose situation. You can't win! but HEY HEY HEY IM A SOPHMORE NOW, AND IN FREAKING HIGHSCHOOL! YAYAYAYA! We're gonna be with some FINE looking guys:):) Oh yeah, that's gonna be the best part! haha it'll make it all worth it. I hope this year will be the best so far, and I'm sure it will be!

lake powell

Lake Powell was a blast with my fam! We also had 2 add on's(which are pretty much part of the fam). Hunter (Huntee) & Madi (Tweedle dumb). It was a fab trip with these folks! Definetly give this trip a 10/10

We set out on Wednesday morning to go to the lake.. listened to some 21 pilots, Kodaline, Shawn Mendes, and many many other artists:) Me and Madi also tried to watch Lord of the Rings. Which didn't last long, we ended up just listening to music (which is life so it's fine). We ate some brownie brittle on the way up! Which Madi introduced to me this trip... AND HOLY COW ITS GOOD! I highly recommend it. Also on the way we took many selfies so I'll show yah a few

As soon as we got there we didn't wait a moment. We got our swimsuits on and got in the water. Went down the slide on the houseboat. It didn't have water running down it the first time so it killed my butt. Don't do what I did word of advice.

We also tried to paddle board but IT WAS DIFFICULT. I have the worst balance EVER! Ask anyone so I ended up just sitting down on it which failed in the end. I also enjoyed taking random pics with Madis ukulele (which sadly I don't have the best skill with)

Next thing we did was go jet ski. And let me tell you it was scary at first. Well, It always was but we got used to it in the end. Our first time we went we where pretty awful. We rode with the boys & totally freaked them out. My brother started screaming, I've never seen that before hahaa! I went off a jump going like 40mph and accidentally pushed the gas when I was falling backwards.. we shot out really fast and almost fell off. Which could've been bad but luckily were fine haha! We rode through the canyon, then after a while we stopped to get out and chill. Ended up taking pics on the rock

After our long ride we chilled most of the day swimming back and forth to the dock and back. Getting our "exercise" it would've been really good but we swam in our life jackets! Also Huntee dragged us on the kayak. It's pretty long tho so I would say it was okay. That night tho it was such a pretty sunset! HOLY COW

The next day was one of my favorites there. Me and Madds woke up bright &a early and went for a walk on the deck. We ended up buying some souvenir t-shirts (which where totally worth the 20$) they where the comfiest things ever!! We also got some matching anklets. Which sadly I lost in the end. I was trying to be cautious so I took it off and lost it. While Madi kept it on the whole trip and never lost it! HAHAH! that's the last time I'm trying to be careful:) I got a whole day out of it tho, with some pics.

When we got back from shopping we headed out on boats and our jet skis! Me and Madi rode in the boat first while the guys rode the jet skis! Huntee went like 60mph it was breath taking! haha I would fall off to my death. Later tho me and Madi rode he jet skis. We lost eachother for a bit and totally freaked me out cuz the lake is pretty gynormous!! I found her in the end tho after like 30 min haha! We stopped and ate some lunch as a fam! Which was really fun. Had some good laughs! I'm pretty sure the guys think we are the strangest things ever tho. Oh well, they gotta love us! We where pretty beast on the jet skis tho if I must say! Riding so fast then going on huge waves was so much fun! Pretty sure that was my favorite part of the trip! We would scream at the top of our lungs when we saw a huge wave come. We would get air and get soaked. Oh then we sang 21 pilots on it (people probs thought we where so weird) Later that night we went for a night ride in the boat and decided to go cliff jumping. It didn't seem so big at first until I got up there! HOLY WHXKIXUEBD! it was huge. Soon enough I got the courage to jump off the cliff. Face planted, bruised my leg, Turned my face purple from impact! No biggy! IT HURT SO BAD! At least I can say I did it tho haha

The next day we set out for Rainbow Bridge. It was a fun day. It took about 3 hrs to get there it was hot, long, but so worth it. We got lost a couple of times but it was bound to happen at some point! When we got there we where so tired and done. Then we had a hike ahead of us! YIPPEE! Last thing we wanted to do at that point in time... it was super short tho luckily. Rainbow Bridge tho was really cool and it's like one of the tallest natural bridges in the world. Fun fact for yah.

On the way back we passed a lot of hot guys. Which was interesting. We looked awful and they looked so good and I'm pretty sure we where staring. haha! Whatever were most likely not going to see them again EVER. We listened to 21 pilots which helped us through the heat! We where about to die!! It was fun tho and I'm glad I got to see one of the wonders of the World. On the way back to the house boat me and Madi where flying everywhere! The waves where going crazy! Bruised our tail bones I'm pretty sure! It was so much fun tho/painful. That day was so much fun! Loved it so much! That night we also made a fool of ourselves bcuz we where singing how much our butts hurt, and how they where going to fall off. haha! They where really really really burnt. We where singing and realized there was a guy watching us he looked frightened. It definetly is a trip I will never forget! I'm so glad I got to hang out with my Tweedle! Love her so much besties foreves! Even tho we act more like sister (which we pretty much are) haha

fourth of July

The fourth was this weekend! WAHOO! Definitely one of my most favorite holidays EVA! Well, after Christmas of course. This year me and my fam spent the weekend up in Brian head. At our very "stylish" condo decorated by my dad. It's pretty great you would think we where hillbillies from the look of it. 

We started out on Thursday, me and my mom headed out early to go on an adventure. And a adventure we got! We didn't know this but it had rained for 2 constant days pretty much so it was really muddy. We went for a little ride on the razor, got lost, covered it in mud (including us), found a 20 yr old bus, and saw the best looking sunset EVER! We almost died coming back.. riding down a hill when it's like a river is not a good idea. For those who do not know that. We made it home safe & sound tho, and made a very memorable night.

The next day me and my whole family got up bright and early and headed out for Bryce Canyon. A hour and a half later we made it. It's so pretty up there and the hoodoos are pretty cool. We hiked through Bryce Canyon and on the way got lost. Didn't figure that out untill we hiked 2 miles straight up the hill. Yeah, that was great ahhaha! Took some great shots up there and my brother actually took pics with me. That was seriously a miracle! Got sick on some gummy bears, they're like mine and my dads favorite candy tho:) The hike was overall fantastic even tho it was very long.. oh and here's a funny story. Hopefully you don't think I'm to weird after his ahaha! So me and my brother where hiking and thought my parents where behind us. We where doing the strangest things. Well, I was pretending to be a T-Rex and went to surprise my parents (which I thought where behind me) instead I scared some Indian couple. They screamed and ran away. When I told my parents this my dad started crying from laughing, which I haven't seen before! Oh and later this huge bee was chasing after my mom and she was screaming running all over the place and ran past those same India folks. They probably thought we where the strangest humans ever. After the hike we headed home and worn out from out trip, slept and went riding.

HOODOOS

ITS NOW THE 4TH OF JULY! YEAH MAN! Celebrating the birth of the country was cool. My whole fam dressed up in red white & blue. of course. We headed out for the arts festival! Partied hard there. I almost went bungee jumping but didn't, which was disappointing IT LOOKS SO FUN!  By this time we where really tired and Brian Head was pouring rain so we just took a easy day. We went for a little ride in the hail which was scary but also fun/painful. After, we headed towards Cedar city to watch Jurassic world! which was my 3rd time seeing it, whoops! it's seriously such a good movie I totally recommend it! Gets better each time but less thrilling sadly. It's all good tho, we got some cafe rio after which was heavenly! After our day spent in Cedar we headed back up to Brian Head! Slept for a little bit and headed to go watch the fireworks. Last year my dad found the most perfect spot on top of the mountain to watch them so we went there. They kinda switched it up this year so half of them where behind the trees and not in the area that was treeless. got a good 5 min tho of decent fireworks. They where really cool tho the ones we actually saw! But everything that explodes in the sky in different colors always is cool. Had some great treats and hot coco up there which made it better! Once they where done we headed back down to our condo. Which was also a scary demotic experience. With it raining all day it was muddy, but we where in the dark this time. So that was cool:)

youth conference

so this week I had youth conference and it was pretty great! made some more fab memories with so many people. it was long and exhausting. but hey! it was all worth it. we where only there for 2 days but we had a week full of activities packed into those days. TRUST ME! I didn't get one ounce of down time. 

we woke up bright & early Thursday morning to set off to snow college. had to be at the church by 6:15.. now that was dreadful. i gotta sleep the whole car ride up so it was all good. looked like I just had woke up tho. when I walked out of the car, there standing was like 300 people and some very fine looking guys (may I add):) it was kinda embarrassing! mascara all over my face, an hand print from sleeping. not a pretty sight. at least they gave us some time to freshen up untill we did our first activity.

our first activity we went up to the mountains and did a ropes course! some where fun, some where boring. but I liked the ones where you had to do challenges the best! we had to where some cool harness which was interesting. everyone got a few bumps, bruises, cuts, concussions. you know the usual haha! it was so much fun tho and we have the best ward which even made it better! we where there for about 4 hrs I believe. by the time I was done I was so ready for bed, but that was not the plan.

after a quick meal we headed over to the little town of Manti. it's so cute I love it! but my favorite part was the temple. it's so beautiful, and just so peaceful. we went to go see the Mormon miracle pageant. it was so busy and it was a great expirience. there were some people preaching against the church there. instead of second guessing what (which is what they were trying to do) It did the opposite. it made me think about the things I know and believe to be true. it was so peaceful there. and people came from everywhere to go see it. some people didn't even know who the Mormons where and came. I thought that was cool. they wanted to know more about us, and there were some ym & yw sharing their testimonies to them. it was a great expirience. i wish I would have paid more attention but I didn't. we sat in the back and talked... but hey I got bits & pieces out of it. and a few guys numbers out of it it's all good! 

that night we didn't get home till about 12:30. it was a late night! I roomed with Two girls who would not go to bed! I think it was about 3 in the morning till they finally stopped talking, and I finally fell asleep. 

the next day everyone was so tired we had the hardest time even getting out of bed. we got ready and headed to the temple for a devotional. it was great! he talked about patriartical blessings, and generations of family. it was cool. also there where these guys that came out of the temple and DANG they were fine. me and Aubrey couldn't help but stare lol! after the devotional we headed over to the temple and took a group picture with the young women.

  

 later that day we did a couple of activities. we had a water course, and just random activities. the water one was my favorite! there was some slides, races, games, fabulous singing and break dancing, it was pretty great. we got really wet! I was soaked from head to toe. when we where done we got ready for the dance. I've always have had mixed feelings about dances. sometimes I have great guys that are fun, sometimes they're dripping sweat and don't say one thing. those ones can be so AWKWARD. fun fact tho. I was dancing with this kid who I thought was 14 and he was 18. and I was dumb enough to ask if he was a freshmen! haha. come to find out he's graduated. now that was probably the most embarrassing moment that night! met some really fun, cute guys. there was this one that was freaking hilarious, and he was so out of it because he got a concussion earlier that day. it was great! after the dance a group of us headed over to get some fro yo! and mmmm it was good. the dance was much better then I expected it to be by far! that night Brooklyn came in and partied with us. once again got about 4 hrs of sleep  haha! 

   

I loved youth conference and am so grareful for the opportunity I got to go! loved every second of it even tho it was exhausting. Got to make so new friendships, it was just so amazing!

Girls camp has come and gone once again.. it was amazing! I have the best ward. I have the fun/funniest leaders and girls in my ward. Girls camp is the greatest. I love to have the chance to go up there and enjoy the outdoors. we had plenty of tricks, games, and laughter! OH and like 50 bruises no kidding. nothing can beat the food though that's definitely the best part. 

DAY ONE

we woke up bright and early to meet up for camp (not to my liking). we had to be there by 6:50. I don't even wake up that early for school! we started off with a nutritious meal of donuts & chocolate milk. MY FAVORITE! we then set off to start our adventure. 2 1/2 hrs later we finally reached our camping spot. we put up the tents and got our sweatshirts. our theme this year was superheroes. we hung out for a bit.. played a few dozen tether ball games. that's where all the bruises were from, mostly. me and Brooklyn were beast at tether ball that's all I got to say! oh, we also did water balloons. me and Aubrey were at war with each other! after SHE surrendered we went after Brooklyn. it was pretty good! mostly we just hung out the first day & played tether ball! played a little superheroes with the 3 of us (Aubrey Brooklyn me). later we watched big hero 6 on the projector and ended the day with some wonderful smores:)

DAY TWO

Once again we woke up bright and early to start a new day.. had some waffles for breakfast which came nowhere near as good as my moms. my moms are the absolute best tho (never have & never will be beaten). once breakfast was over we set off to do our service project. we painted some tables made a few messes while we did lol! hopefully my favorite jeans aren't too ruined, I should've put some more thought into that ha!

after some arts and craft we had a few hours to do what we wanted... so me and my 3 friends went for a little adventure. you know when you go on an adventure you have to take pictures no mater what. so that's what we did no surprise there!! after a long adventure & girl talk we set off for the caves.. we went to some lava caves yeah they were cool! yeah they were claustrophobic, painful, wet, cool, dark, and adventorous! I had mixed feelings about them. it was actually really cool inside to be honest. that night we went snype hunting! now that was fun. we made a few first years cry, we're just to good you know;) jk no. but two girls did cry they totally believed us and our scarring stories lol! it was a good night

DAY THREE

once we were up and ready for the day we had are usual morning. me and Brooklyn cracked 60 eggs how interesting right!? we also discovered  a frozen egg. EW! guess there's a first for everything right? that was a memorable part of my morning lol. we hung around all morning mostly and partied hard you know.. played some phase 10, got our skit costumes (which was awesome), taught my bishop how to sew... now that was interesting. later we took a drive to the great Dixie national forest. which Aubrey doesn't believe is a forest haha! don't know how it's quite obvious, she's just so pretty (blonde)!!

 We went to Bryce Canyon and where going to hike.. but it  started hailing so we took pics and left. it was sad but at least we got pics you know! it was freaking gorgeous though I'm so grateful to live where we live! also on the way back we jammed to some Disney. it was pretty dang fab! oh than later that day we did our skits.. now that was interesting. we winged ours just knew our characters and that was about it...and it was pretty dang AWESOME! it was really good surprisingly. we had a fat police, superhero director, monster, and a danmzel in distress. later that night we had the best food I had ever had. we had Dutch oven and oh my gosh it was good. then to testimony meeting... it was great, and I always love it! the spirits especially strong there! after, we drove home (surprisingly not dieing). it was probably the most scariest drive of my life. we made it home safe & sound though luckily!

kanarraville falls

this week we went on yet another adventure. our friends went hiking up in kanarville falls. it was an all day occasion and was so worth it! that hike is super pretty, and really fun! kinda had a hard time finding the trail every once in a while haha! that's what you get with all blondes hiking. the canyon was probs the coolest part of the hike. me and Kourtney though had a hard time on the ladder(at least coming down it was hard)! when we got to the falls it was pretty crowded but hey they're was some cute guys.. that's a plus! we went down the slide(waterfall type things). when I went I pretty much fell on my face, and couldn't get up. it was embarrasing but oh well. on the way back it was funny! Tylee who was obsessing over this stick (I freaking love her) and singing primary songs and swinging it around almost stabbed me... she slipped when I was in front of her and barely missed haha! that was the moment where we tried to take it away lol. it was an adventure going up and down.

later that day we decided to take a shower (in our swimsuits of course). we decided to do our hair in funky ways and make a music video. which was very interesting, and not ever to be seen lol. it was a fun time. we now call ourselves "the shower babes" so if one day we get famous you'll know who we are.. just kidding that will never happen and am not planning on it. we would die of embarrassment first!
